How to Make Bittersweet Hot Chocolate

Every year, winter means breaking out the warm socks and hot drinks, and every year, we try to make it a little more special than the last. Put down the Pumpkin Spiced Latte and pick up a tin of our Bittersweet Drinking Chocolate for a smooth, decadent break from the cold this winter.
Start out with 1/3 cup of our hand-shaved Bittersweet Drinking Chocolate. If Bittersweet, Mint, or Mayan Chile don't tickle your fancy, chopping up the same amount of your favorite flavor of Bittersweet Chocolate Bars into fine pieces will also do the trick.
Bring 3/4 cup of milk to a simmer and whisk in the chocolate shavings. Use whole milk for the richest flavor and texture. (Note: We advise against using water so to maintain the creamy decadent consistency you'll come to know and love.)
Pour it all into your favorite mug and you're ready to enjoy the best hot chocolate around.
With a nice frothy cup of Bittersweet Hot Chocolate, the only thing that's missing is a little frosting. Just add a swirl of cool whipped cream or your own Handmade Marshmallows from our recipes page.
